UPCYCLING
Muduna not only wants to give objects a second life but also to allow them to be reused in new ways.
By practicing what is called upcycling in English, or revalorisation in French, we reduce our environmental footprint more effectively.
The resulting new object is unique and testifies to our capacity for creativity.
The Flea Market TRAY - BEFORE
I immediately liked its shape and appreciated the absence of a border which allows me to create easily.
I decided for an orange and copper straw marquetry inlay, preserving the natural handles and restoring the badly damaged underside. It will thus find a new lease of life as a decorative element in a contemporary interior.

The TRAY - AFTER
I chose to work in orange and copper for the richness of the shades and looked for Art Deco inspired patterns that seemed to suit this tray.
It was the variations in the colors of the straws that guided my choices of pose types.
The two handles had a different color which I preferred to keep and limited myself to cleaning and varnishing them.

The pedestal TABLE damaged by water - BEFORE
This charming little piece of furniture, resting on four legs, offers a symmetrical composition of two shelves.
Reworking it in straw marquetry is a challenge worth taking on to give it a new future!

The Pedestal TABLE - AFTER
This small vintage piece of furniture, standing on four legs, offers an unusual composition with a very practical intermediate storage area which increases its possibilities for conversion.
Reworking it in straw marquetry is a challenge that deserves to be taken up to give it a new future!

The VIOLON that lost its voice - BEFORE
A victim of its age, this beautiful violin has seen its soundboard crack.
Here it is, lost in the dust of this box, devoid of strings and abandoned in an attic.
Once taken in hand and adorned with its straw marquetry decoration, it can adorn the walls of a house where it will bring an original touch and will be able to bear witness to its musical past...
